How to get started with Video in Any BusinessJun 07, 2022
We've all heard it. Video is important. You should be using video in your business. Video is one of the best ways to promote yourself, and, it's true...
But what if I just don’t have the time, or capacity, or looks, or whatever other afflictions are holding you back from using video regularly in your business?
Today I am going to share with you 5 ways you could be using video in your business to help grow, without spending a tonne of time creating content every week and without spending a tonne of money on all of the gear.
NUMBER 1. Bio Video
Create Video Bios for every Team Member, embed them into your email signatures, and link to them on your website.
Let's give you an example of what mine would say:
"Hey, my name is Pete and I look after the New Accounts here at MSP. Day to day I pretty much take care of everything, so if there’s anything new you need for your business, I’m the one you call. I’m married, have 2 kids, and love a cheeky Nandos. So I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your business".
You can create these videos with a mobile phone, either on a tripod, or just get someone else to hold it for you.
NUMBER 2. Service or Product Fit Videos.
These are where you talk specifically about your services.
You’d have one of these perhaps for your Support, Telecoms, Connectivity, Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security, and any other services you offer.
Again, a fairly short video along the lines of:
‘Cyber Security that actually works. Hey, My name is Pete and for the last decade, we’ve been protecting small to medium businesses, just like yours, from all of the horrible people who are out there, trying to hold your business to ransom.
In those 10 years, we’ve not had a single client who’s taken our services, suffer a significant breach, outage, ransomware, or virus, and that’s a statistic I’m pretty proud of.
So if you want to learn more about how we can protect your business, then book a call with me using the link on the left, and I look forward to speaking with you'.
These ones are probably worth just getting someone in to shoot for you. Pay them for a day or half a day depending on how many videos you want to shoot.
NUMBER 3, Landing Pages
10 Steps to do this
9 Reasons why you should
All of the things.
Same as last time and I’m going to use this opportunity to actually shoot a video for my ‘10 ways to get more leads for your MSP’ which you can see here:
NUMBER 4. Pricing video.
Create a video that explains what dictates your price. What makes it go up, and what makes it come down? Do you bill per user? Per device, or by how much data they store?
‘But Pete. My pricing is too complicated'
It is your job to uncomplicate it for them. Surely if your staff can understand your pricing then your customers can as well. If you don’t agree with me - well. You’re wrong. Need help with your pricing? Check out this blog post:
NUMBER 5. Your FAQ video.
These are all of the questions that your prospects ask you every single time.
What makes you different from your competitors?
Do you offer Out of Hours support?
What are your response times?
How often will you visit us?
What do you charge extra for?
Whatever those questions are, just put together a short and to-the-point video that explains the answers to them.
Videos in business are a must, it's something everyone is doing and if you're not, you're just going to get left behind! Good luck.
